Graham Thomas
This is a David Austin rose, probably the best known of his English roses. The growth is upright but bushy and vigorous, which makes it an excellent climber as well as a splendid shrub. It has a fresh tea rose fragrance, and is named for the late Mr. Graham Thomas who remains one of the most influential gardeners of our time.
This was another of the very sad bushes I already possessed and had so neglected before I decided to 'get a grip' and make this new rose garden. in 2007 he had NO flowers and when I took this photo a year later he was covered in bloom and bud....I was so pleased!
It's amazing what a few sacks of well rotted horse poo can do!
