IC 8087 Dixon town track derailment 3-1-74
As i was shooting the IC's Dixon job coming back up the hill from the Medusa Cement mill, the engine derailed right in front of me!! The rails spread allowing the wheels hit the ground and shot a piece of ballast directly away from the engine and hit the side of an adjacent house and it sounded like a gun shot!!
