Adder (Vipera berus) - Female 2021-10-06. Parc Slip Nature Reserve, Aberkenfig, South Wales

I recently found this sorting through my archives. A female adder basking in the late afternoon Autumn sunshine. In our locality over the years I have occasionally found reptiles still active in early October.
