Common Lizard (Lacerta vivipara or Zootoca vivipara) 2019-04-19. Parc Slip, Aberkenfig, South Wales

This very obliging adult Common Lizard enabled me to obtain quite a few captures from about 1.5 to 2 metres distance with very minimal movement. Although it seemed aware of my presence, it still remained quite happy in the hazy sunshine. Even as I slowly moved away it did not make any attempt to flee. However, I would imagine, if a predator did make any approach it would have certainly responded with a very rapid escape.
