Hoyt 1917 003 (replica)

These are replicas, very nicely executed.

For those shooting vintage rifles, and especially those who use "shooting wraps", old, authentic slings are not advised.

What's amusing is, there are those who argue, in the face of testimony by Ehlers, Murphy, Dwyer, and thousands of others and millions of photos, that these were NOT the dominant sling for full-sized rifles in G.I. infantry combat units until almost the very end of World War II. Even then, most extant photos in Europe with the cotton straps involve Hodges' First Army, very late, and a few boat crews and amphibious Navy personnel with second strata rifles.

One ridiculous bozo, to prove that summary wrong, trotted out some video depicting Hodges' First Army combined arms in Cologne very, very late in that conflict.

Oh, well.
