As of when this photograph was taken, Styal Station featured hourly train services to Crewe (via Wilmslow), and Liverpool Lime Street (via Manchester Airport, Manchester Piccadilly and Newton-le-Willows), both operated by Northern.
Since the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic/lockdown, train services have been curtailed back to terminate at Manchester Airport, leaving Styal with no regular train services for the foreseeable future.
National Trust owned 'The Quarry Bank Mill', is situated close by to the station.
