Iceland Day 2 - Luck at Midfoss

The second waterfall you’ll find when hiking toward Brúarárfoss is called Midfoss. It isn’t as high as Hlauptungufoss, nor as big as Brúarárfoss, but more like a big rapid. When I found a strong foreground to complement the scenery, with two big rocks in the river that were overflown by the beautiful blue water, I was already pretty satisfied. There even was a small piece visible of the rainbow in the background. It was however a bit tricky to get this perspective, because I had to climb with my gear on a rock in the river for this. With a smile on my face I hiked on, but in the meantime the rainbow was getting more and more complete. There was no choice, I had to go back, and quick! I climbed again and this time I had the full rainbow above the waterfall, perfect I thought… I packed my gear even more satisfied, only to see that now also the hill in background was starting to reveal itself. This was just the subject it needed to complete the fore, mid- and background. So yep, I got my gear out, climbed again and made this shot. At only day two I almost couldn’t believe my luck😊
