Super Rare Sleeper Station Call at Hartford (1)
A very rare occurrence early on 29/12/2023 as GB Railfreight's Class 92, 92038 brings the Caledonian Sleeper to a halt at Hartford to make an additional station call and pick up a stranded family.
The "guests" were due to board the Down Highlander (1S25) at Crewe, but had been stuck at Liverpool due to a points failure at Hartford Junction. Caledonian Sleeper therefore arranged for them to be taken by taxi to Hartford, where an additional call was made to pick them up.
This is the first and only time that I can recall at least that the Caledonian Sleeper has made a passenger call at Hartford.
