6949 Robo Guardian - 1
This set was always one of my absolute favorites as a kid. I have a distinct memory of saving my birthday money to buy it at Walmart, then spending two whole days - it was more than 300 pieces after all! - assembling it in our basement rec room. This beast laid waste to my other Space sets many times over. I am happy with how the micro scale version turned out, but I wish I could have found a way to incorporate the mini ship housed in its back.
