"The Champion Mine ‘gang’: Jerry Barnes, Bro Kinloch, Richard Sniezko at the Champion Mine site on the Cottage Grove Ranger District, Umpqua National Forest – where major gene resistance in western white pine was first documented based on initial work by Jerry and followed up by Bro and Richard (story documented in Kinloch et al. 1999 Phytopathology paper). This photo was taken during the 2003 ‘Rustbusters’ meeting."
