Unloading in the steelworks. My brother John drove this 1418 Mercedes Benz from new and I spent a lot of time in the passenger seat during school holidays. A couple of years later another driver "dangles" had his CB radio confiscated by the police as at the time they were being operated illegally. Don Bradford and Terry Ashby also had their radios seized. Illawarra truckies fought to have CB radios legalized and the Illawarra CB Radio Association was formed so drivers who belonged to the club could legally have CB radios in their trucks
