Sevan Monastery
Sevan Monastery (Սեւանավանք) - the historic Armenian monastery from the ninth century, located on the peninsula Sevan (before 1940 it was an island). The monastery was built in the year 874 by Armenian Princess Mariam, the daughter of Aszot I. The buildings were built from dark volcanic tuff, through which the object was called the Black Monastery. For a time, the object served as a place of exile ill holding the monks from Etchmiadzin. In 1930 the monastery was closed. and most of the buildings fell into disrepair. There were only two churches: Our Lady and the Holy Apostles.

Klasztor Sewan (Սևանավանք) – zabytkowy ormiański klasztor z IX wieku znajdujący się na półwyspie Sewan (przed rokiem 1950 była to wyspa). Klasztor został zbudowany w roku 874 przez ormiańską księżniczkę Mariam, córkę Aszota I. Zabudowania wzniesiono z ciemnego tufu wulkanicznego, przez co obiekt zwano Czarnym Klasztorem. Przez pewien czas obiekt pełnił funkcję miejsca zesłania źle sprawujących się mnichów z Eczmiadzyna. W 1930 klasztor został zamknięty. a większość zabudowań popadła w ruinę. Pozostały tylko dwa kościoły.
