Rocky Road

Portth Nanven in the Cot Valley Cornwall.

Porth Nanven is one of a handful of beaches which has these rock types on or near their shore line. It is clear to see why this beach is sometimes referred to as 'Dinosaur Egg Beach' with its collection of ovoid boulders covering the beach and foreshore. The boulders come in all sizes, from hen's egg to a metre or more in length, and have proved so tempting as souvenirs that they are now legally protected.
