DCU Superman #8

“Hello.” She says with sparks surrounding her. “And goodbye.” she throws her lightning at me, which gets me off balance as I try to zip towards her with no success as she teleports away in a zap. I turn around to see her zap me again, throwing me against a wall.

 

 

“Stop toying with him, now take him out!” Oswald yells out.

 

 

“You paid me to take him out, but you didn’t say I can’t play with him a little.” She replies with a sly smile. She then shoots some more electricity at me.

 

 

“There’s gotta be some way to take her out.” I move to avoid the blast.

 

 

"Come on superman! I heard you were tougher than this!" She yells out. I see a fire hydrant close by her. The water might hurt her, but it won’t kill her hopefully, I have no choice. I just need to make sure she doesn’t notice. I fly a bit and grab a manhole cover and throw at her. She ducks before making a cocky comment.

 

 

“You missed.”

 

 

“I wasn’t aiming for you.” She immediately turns around and sees the water from the hydrant blast at her. She screams before letting out a small electrical explosion. I open my eyes to see her on the ground, alive, but unconscious.

 

 

Oswald tries to run before running into a couple officers with the guns raised.

 

 

“Oh boy.” He lets out before he’s arrested. I figure my work is done here, so I fly off.

 

 

I fly to the window of my apartment, I sit down and take a few breaths. "I…. I almost killed her." I try to take a nap for a bit, until I hear my phone ringing, I hear that it's Lois.

 

"Clark?"

 

 

"Hey Lois."

 

 

"Meet me at Stryker's in a few hours, oh! And bring your ID." I try to say something, before I reply.

 

 

"Got it, thanks." I then hung up.
