Tree Fern forest

The Abel Tasman National Park at the tip of New Zealand's South Island, and overlooking the Tasman Bay, is covered with dense virgin forest including many tree ferns. It is a great place for hiking and has one of New Zealand's multi day "great walks". In contrast to other great walks, it is possible to do day walks of one or more of the sections which is great if you don't feel like doing the whole walk or if accomadation along the route was booked up.
