The Barbican Prawn
This sculpture on Plymouth's Barbican is officially known as The Leviathan and was created in 1996. It became known as the Sea Monster but somehow the name Prawn stuck. It is however an amalgamation of many types of creatures found on the Barbican. The 'Prawn' has a cormorant’s feet, a plesiosaurus’s tail, the fin of a John Dory, a lobster’s claws and the head of an angler fish.
