Sunset Station Casino is one of many Casinos in Henderson/Las Vegas. Sunset Station's larger than life sign and boldly lit (in gold) hotel can be generally seen anywhere in the valley making it a neighborhood staple. If you were a child growing up here in Henderson, then there's a good chance on those hot summer days you probably spent a lot of time at the Regal movie theater inside this casino; and with it's decently sized food court you could never go wrong spending a day here. I generally don't care very much for casinos. I don't gamble, I very rarely drink, but this one I do have a soft spot for.
Having opened on June 10, 1997 as Henderson's first hotel-casino resort, people were a little in shock when Sunset (Station Casino's flagship casino) filed for bankruptcy in 2010. Luckily, they were able to file a reorganization plan with Nevada bankruptcy court and were able to recover financially.
