Armed Forces Day Luncheon & MCAAP 75th Anniversary
The City of McAlester paid tribute to the 75th Anniversary of McAlester Army Ammunition Plant during its annual Armed Forces Day Luncheon on May 4. The keynote speaker was Rear Adm. (Dr.) John Cotton, U.S. Naval Reserve retired, who while on active duty was the senior medical officer from 1969-1971 on then U.S. Naval Ammunition Depot, McAlester, and one of the last Navy physicians to serve here.
