Hand quilt; machine appliqued and machine embroidered. Made in 2001 by Martha Kuhns and Velma Borkholder--Medallion style quilt designed by Carol Bowen. The neckties radiate outward from the center circle with the widest points at their outer ends. The center circle contains the machine embroidered capital letters "ORB". The 32 ties were worn by Otis R Bowen, MD, during his years of practicing medicine in Bremen and while governor of Indiana.
