After months off the road ready to be taken away, 4018 along with a few sisters are back in service at Thurmaston. This is due to maintenance work at Derby Railway Station requiring different vehicles for hire to do Rail Replacement.
During this time, 3764 and 3772-3775 spent some time at Derby doing rail replacement duties.
