This spider lives in a commensal relationship with this pitcherplant endemic to the Seychelles, and benefits from the plant's ability to attract insects. The crab spider gets hold of the insects either inside the traps or luring close to the pitcher openings. The plant, however, does not get negatively affected by the spider's presence.
