I was pretty excited when we got the order for a bunny portrait as we're huge bunny fans, I mean what's not to like, they're fluffy and cuddly and those binkies they do are simply incredible!
The reference photo wasn't that great, so we had to play with it to get the most of it to be able to see as many details as possible. We also employed the bunny's owner to help out by describing exactly what the bunster's eye looked like, it turned out it was deep chocolate brown not black at all as the photograph was showing.
After agreeing on the background colour and feel we got to work and thoroughly enjoyed painting this bunny's portrait.
The client was very happy with the finished painting and she assured us she'll come back for portraits of her other bunnies.
When asked how she was going to use the digital image, she said she wants to print them out and frame them, but also later on customise a laptop sleeve with this portrait of her beloved bun.
