Tinkerbell-3

During a walk on Galaxidhi this morning I saw a few of these beautiful insects. I called them "Tinkerbell" after the fairy in Peter Pan as they flew in a way which reminded me of the Walt Disney cartoon character of that name. I now know they are - Palpares libelluloides a species of antlion in the genus Palpares belonging to the Myrmeleonidae family. It is found across Southern Europe.
