Futurama 1965 NYWorldsfair-

The General Motors Pavilion at the 1964-65 New York World's Fair in Flushing Meadows Park in the borough of Queens, New York City.

Shot from the tower of the New York State Pavilion(still standing in 2008),facing southwest. Shot on Kodachrome-X with an Instamatic 100 camera diagonally to fit the whole length of the building in the frame, then remounted in a 35mm slide frame. I did not have a 35mm camera that day.

This pavilion housed the Futurama II ride. The digital clock on the dome reads 2:48

The neighborhood behind the Fair is called Corona, Queens.Corona was the neighborhood of musician Louis Armstrong and his wife. Their home is now a museum about their lives.

The Grand Central Parkway is at the bottom going north/south,the Long Island Expressway is at the top left heading west.
