This photo has very nice tonal range, it literally shows very orange tone and then travels on to white and black. I like that the light was directed on the side of the object rather than in the front or behind it. The detail in it almost looks like a lava lamp looks which I think is great considering it's just an orange peel. It almost looks like fire.

The main thing i like about this is that it has no color, but also because even though there isn't much tonal range but it doesn't matter for this specific subject. The leaves on the foreground really pop to me which is kind of odd since some parts of it blends to the background but that is what i think makes it interesting. Some of the leaves seem to not be apart of the plant itself but are magically coming out of the background.

I think the shadow the handle makes on the body of the pitcher is very flattering and interesting to it and the range of tones on the subject itself varies but it's nice. I like the sharpness of the object because even though it was probably a rough surface because of the detail on it, it seems to be very smooth looking.

I like that the rose petals almost look like they're floating. I like the detail you can see in the petals but mostly that you can see them on the most important petals,(those in the foreground and middle ground). The petal in the foreground has a little bit of tonal range but the lack of makes it look simply pretty and it having more tones I think would take away from it.

I enjoy the texture of the stuffed animal and the fact that though it isn't alive it stayed up so well and was personified so it looks almost like it was alive. I like that it has a shadow because I think it only helps with the obvious personification in the photo and specifically that the background was chosen to be gray because it compliments to the color of the frog rather than what white and black would have done.

I chose this photo because of the detail in the onion, I also liked that the background was out of focus because it shows what the photographer wanted you to notice. I like the shine of the onion that was created with the lighting and the overall color and tonal range of the photograph as a whole. The choice to use round subject is interesting because in some places i imagine movement was photographed.

I chose this photo because the pins in it,even though most of the pins are clear you don't see through any of them but they reflect to make up for that. So it almost seems like there are actually more pins than there actually is. I also like the sharpness of the pins and the fact that not one of them is unclear.
