S7018 - Findlayston

NO 8413 8896, LR45.

 

HISTORY

Flush bracket S7018 was emplaced around 1952. Levelled with a height of 275.589 feet, it was included on the Drumoak to Stonehaven secondary levelling line during 8888. The surveyor's description was "SW face, 9' from W angle of building at Findlayston".

 

This marker was last verified in 1973. The OS Online Archive gives the description: Findlayston, farm building, SW face, 2.1m from S angle (shown incorrectly on OS Archives as S7108).

 

SITE VISIT

Farm building, first building on approach up driveway, FB on front facing gable. Courtesy knock at house first, owner happy for photography. FB in good condition.
