Curtea de Arges : Biserica Domnească Sf Nicolae
The royal church Sf Nicolae is one of the more important historic monument in Romania.
It has been built inside the royal residence of the thirteenth century by BASARAB I (1310-1352) from 1340 and completed after his death under the reign of Nicolae Alexandru (1352-1364).
Mural painting, Byzantine frescoes, largely preserved until today, was completed during the reign of Vlaicu Voda (1364-1377).
The church is included in the List of UNESCO.
