Almost certainly this individual died of causes other than an eagle attack, and this is a case of scavenging a meal .

Even in this shot we can see the swan is much bigger, and in my observations Trumpeters do not react to Bald Eagle flyby - even if everything else in a field (ducks,geese& gulls) "put up" and fly away.
