Earthshine - Lumière cendrée

This faint illumination of the dark side of the Moon is also called "Da Vinci Glow". Indeed, it seems that Leonardo Da Vinci was the first one to understand that this faint illumination of the dark side of the Moon was due to light from the Earth illuminating the Moon.
