Cog Engine Display
Mt. Washington Cog Ry. steam display at Carroll, NH. This display showed up shortly after diesels took over a few years ago. The design of these locomotives always looked strange because the drivers were on the cog rail in the center rather out in the open. The rail wheels appear flimsy until you see that they merely guide the unit over the center cog drivers.
