More Bobbins
The handle of this set of hand-turned bobbins holds darning needles, so they were probably intended for sturdier thread. I have seen similar needlework cases (etui necessaire) that had been taken to the Trenches by French soldiers, but I have no idea whether they were in wider use or where this one came from originally.
