St. Thomas Church is situated at the top of a gentle hill , forming the termination of a long, narrow approach, on land donated by James Mark Willcox, grandson of Thomas Willcox in whose home the congregation had its beginnings. The picturesque church gradually unfolds from behind tree limbs and foliage as one proceeds closer. The front facade, facing southwest, is characterized by a basic symmetrical arrangement of window and door openings topped off by a spire of rather tall proportions. The entrance vestibule was a later addition, built in approximately 1877. To the right sits the Victorian rectory, built in 1874 to replace a wood framed structure which was destroyed by fire the previous year.
