Forgotten Halloween

In the shadows,

of a time off confusion,

Apples and candy sit in wait.

Sad and lonely,

waiting to be enjoyed

if not for the medias

scary illusion.

 

No trick or treating

No Halloween,

the children are all sad

and the parents annoyed.

A virus and politics

are a nightmare collusion.

 

Spirits in the dark

take a seat,

we all will need Dr Freud,

with our 2020 nightmares

in profusion.
