In Between that which is Green
In the place that is between
that which is green.
A beautiful place that has
magically become seen.
This grand color creates a
mystical glow to this forest
that is pristine.
Glancing at the mesmerizing green,
my thoughts I can hardly glean.
In the place that is between
that which is green.
What a wondrous place
to daydream and the
soul to clean.
I could not have expected
such delight,
nor such beauty could
I have foreseen.
To drift off into this other
world and stay in this place.
To visit the forest Queen
In the place that is between
that which is green.
To dance and laugh among
the native people whom
created Racine.
In their natural universe,
their secret place.
To graciously accept the
invitation to have been.
In the place that is between
that which is green.
..................................................
Photograph of the forests in Grayling, Michigan,
Mirrored twice.
Compared in the poem to the beautiful place of Racine, Wisconsin. The birth place of some of the Native's original peoples as far back as 10,000 bc.
