Fingerpost at Broxted
A short type Maldon Iron Works post. The semicircular parish plate finial has possible been recycled from another post in the parish as this type finial was not usually fitted to short posts. The far arm has been repaired usin strap and bolt method. The arm towards Broxted and Bps Stortford is a recycled item with a plate fitted to its front face. The reverse legend reads WIMBISH GREEN 2 so it came from about six miles away. Beside the B1051 at TL 5856 2866. Photo 2003
