I loved you...

 

I'll try to explain it better than that

There was a transference

of soul in every embrace

I gave you my soul intact

but it was not the same

when you gave it back

You saw a red heart

and it was tainted black

 

I loved you...

 

You took me to an apex

I offered up my heart

but you kicked me

down the steps

when done with it

as your own eclipsed

in a crepuscular wisp

I haven't been

the same since

since the same

just hasn't been

the same since...

 

I loved you...

 

In every sense of the word

Every sense had merged

with every way I've ever felt

melded with the innocence

of when I was 12

I felt like a kid again

That naiveness that I loved you

without thought of sin

 

I LOVED YOU!!!

 

When I looked in your eyes

You told me

I was everything

you wished for

I guess that is why

I was taken for granted...

 

She covered my eyes

and my world went dark

My third eye opened

to cast light on her heart

but she burned in my truth

She burdened my youth

She's a bird on the roof

that can't fly but steps off

flapping for the moon

She will always fall

Never in love

and never with you
