Through the Willows
"I am always doing that which I cannot do, in order that I may learn how to do it." - Pablo Picasso
After leaving the zoo at closing last weekend, the kids and I went down to the water to wait for the crowds to pile out. The kids got to play, the baby slept, I got to snap a few pics while they were occupied.
The sun was starting to make its decent, shining on the water perfectly...so I figured I'd do a couple practice shots. I'm just learning how to use the right light and focus for a descent bokeh, so bare with me...and remember I'm an amateur ;-)
For this one I stepped under an enormous weeping willow and tried to focus on some of the tiny buds and leaves...but it was extraordinarily windy (as you can see in this image flic.kr/p/rYrkFN I posted a few days ago of the kids at the water with their hair blowing about). Also an embarrass-yourself kind of shot..because I noticed a few people looking at me like "if she wants to take a picture of the water why doesn't she move the branches out of her face?"
Lol...that's ok..I'm used to looking bizarre while I'm shooting :-)
Thank you for the faves and comments, my friends. I truly do appreciate them all! Have a wonderful Monday, everyone :-)
