SP Southern Pacific SD45T-2 #9251 Helper 1st 517 meeting U33C #8775 Hiland, CA 03-30-80
I made my second trip to California back in March 1980. It was a nice break from the winter and it was always packed with doing as much as we could in the allotted time including a trip to Cajon.
On the last day of the month, the rear of First 517 with SD45T-2 9251 shoving on the rear is in the clear at Hiland and hiball's are being exchanged with the crew on U33C #8775 one of over 200 U33C's once rostered by the SP.
