West German-built Class MT 5300 diesel train in Balikesir station. Originally delivered to Turkey's TCDD in 1952, in this 1977 view the train is already converted to ordinary locomotive-hauled stock, having lost its twin MAN diesel motors. The entire sixteen trains were retired shortly afterwards and scrapped. None was kept for preservation
