Trumpeter Swans

Today I got my first shots of Trumpeter Swans, although I've seen them at a distance for several years now. Some of the differences with the similar Tundras: The Trumpeter has a red or pink "grin" line on its bill. The eyes touch the bill, making it a single mask. They don't have any yellow spots on the bill. They are larger than Tundra Swans and not nearly as noisy! These two look a bit dirty: the waters in which they have been foraging for food aren't the cleanest! Tomorrow I will post images of an immature Trumpeter.
