Monkey See, Monkey Do (& Other Monkey Business)

If you fall out of your hammock about an hour before Sunset to do some seascape shooting whilst in Krabi - you're highly likely to stumble into some of these little monkeys.

I don't do animals & birds really but made an exception here - how can you not photograph something as cute as this???

You see these Dusky Leaf Monkeys come out to chew leaves in late afternoon around the time that I get going & start to stumble around with my tripod & camera bag.

You mustn't smile at them (they see it as a sign of aggression - or maybe they might think you're laughing at them rather than with them in a kind of paranoid super sensitive monkey way)

Or look them in the eye apparently

Not one to be told, I tried everything including making all kinds of noises to get their attention but they just ignored me completely - definitely like herding cats.

I did tell them to be more Dog - but they weren't having it

(Maybe they just don't understand English???) :))
