In the Golden Hour

I love Rapeseed fields in early summer because the yellow against blue skies gives maximum contrast.

Here these yellow cottages (or rorbuer as they're called here in Norway) look great to me against a bit of blue sky.

You can never guarantee blue skies here though - in fact you can go days without, but when the early morning sun lights up these rorbuer, looking East to West, the effect is a bit special.

Personally I'm not usually a massive fan of really long exposures because I like some texture in water (sometimes of course, very long exposures look stunning though - I never say never)

Here I had to use the big stopper because the wind was pretty strong & I wanted to get a bit of sheen on those reflections.

One from a whole bunch I took of this view last Winter - I think this is probably the best example.
