Autumn Scene fit for a Queen
Early morning scene just as the first light hits Windsor Castle & just before the sun burns off the morning mist.
Horse chestnut leaves in full Autumn splendour (with some shed considerately on the grass for added colour).
The Long Walk pictured here looks like a quick jaunt but don't be deceived by appearances - it's a bit of a trompe l'oeil (if you're feeling French) & It's around 3 miles in length.
One of those optical illusions where you think you must be nearly there, but you just aren't, & you keep on thinking it for ages & ages but never seem to get any closer - like those nightmares where you're on the lowest Astral Plane & think you're running really really hard to escape from something nasty but can't seem to get anywhere!
Spare a thought for the poor Corgis It must feel like an eternity - (the little legs have to make so many more steps of course) :)
Thank You to everyone who took the trouble to view comment or fave
