Cutter Street
Passing the Cutter Street Crossing, Monson #4 heads East toward Portland. Unlike many railroads that host "Guest Engineer" programs, the Maine Narrow Gauge Railroad Company & Museum allows their patrons to bring along family members to enjoy the experience. Rather than simply running a light locomotive, this Guest Engineer gets to pull a train, albeit a rather short one. Passenger accommodations are provided in the Sandy River and Rangeley Lakes Caboose, which has plenty of windows....and steam heat!
