These are the pictures I took of the sights of Magdeburg. The city is quite different from Suhl: Magdeburg is a large, metropolitan city (a county-seat equivalent in the US) with very interesting architecture that ranges from majestic (their cathedral) to funky (the pink building). A former DDR city, there are still many artifacts from that time of the city's history.

These are my snapshots of the things I saw touring the city. Magdeburg is a modern city with a long history. The cathedral is worth checking out: there are two saints interred there (including the first black saint).

The architecture ranges from staid old DDR to funky (the pink building, and the blue-tiled one next to it).
