The aim of this piece of animation was to highlight the different reactions / effects that occur between a solid heavy ball and a soft bouncy ball being dropped from a height.
There is very little reaction when the solid ball is dropped and thuds into the ground. However the effect of the soft ball being dropped is totally different as can be seen as it flattens out when it hits the ground before bouncing back up into the air.
