Tiger Trio
While everyone else in Northeast Ohio was going ballistic over UP 1996 leading the Salad Shooter, which ended up running through the region in bad light anyway, I was a lot more interested in this Wheeling 228 with three clean tigers which I found sitting on the Creston siding at dawn to meet two opposing westbounds. Once the two westbounds cleared, the crew took the train east at the perfect time for well lit shots all the way to Brewster. Here they are seen dropping downgrade into Smithville, Ohio, passing a lush field of soybeans.
