Guri (Gookie) Lluka and Made read the conditions of entry to the temple. Decent dress was obviously open to interpretation. T shirt and 'Stubbies' shorts were obviously considered decent enough. None of us were challenged at any rate and bare arms and legs was our standard attire. I never did quite understand the significance of the sashes were asked to wear while at temples. It obviously made our entry possible, but was not a way of making infidels acceptable to the deities. Made, a Hindu, was obliged to wear one also. Worshipers and workers seemed exempt, and purely surmising, had probably performed rituals of purification to be exempted from the sash.
