Drag to set position!
Well my name is Whyishnave, and I'm a student, who enjoys taking pictures.
I became acquainted with the idea of photography as a means of artistic expression after first observing how it is used conventionally by society to document space and time. What are photographs really, just moments in the past. If you already experienced the moment, then what makes it necessary to capture it?
I don't know the answer to that question, but what I do know is that sometimes when you take a picture, you see something different in the moment you captured, than when you had experienced it. And when you're lucky, you may even be able to see things that you may have overlooked or disregarded then. And that's why I enjoy taking pictures, because it allows me to pay reverence and better appreciate the passing of time.
As Dorothea Lange once put it;
"While there is perhaps a province in which the photograph can tell us nothing more than what we see with our own eyes, there is another in which it proves to us how little our eyes permit us to see."
