With years in construction I have turned to beading. I use only fishing line and a needle to make my stuff. NO GLUE and NO WIRE. Everything I make is very solid and durable, due to my obsession with such.
Everything is an original design and one of a kind. Copywrite? Go ahead and try and copy them. Have fun.
Most beaded jewelry is either flimsy/flexible, and doesn't hold shape well, or it is made with low quality thread and not multiple stitched. This stuff I post is not flexible, and it will last for generations with proper care.
INSPIRATION? Where did I learn? I learned some basic stitches on line [ladder, round square, chain], and I have adapted them to my own use. I cannot name half of my stitches. I study molecular chemistry and biology for structural form. I study R. Buckminster Fuller geometry, and its offshoots. I study the forms of crystals and gems and their interlocking molecules. I study the patterns and forms of nature. I am entheogenically experienced and am excited about my visions forming into actual 3d solid artworks !! It seems like they make themselves sometimes, with lots of broken needles along the way.
I want my jewelry to look like candy from outer space. I try to make things very hard for myself to do, because I do not want you to figure out how I did it. I use the best fishing line, and recommend that you do too.
I use swarovski crystal, amethyst, quartz, onyx, rose quartz, aquamarine. hematite, moonstone, fluorite, palladium, silver and gold plated, Vintage salvaged stuff, Czech glass, and mostly Japanese Mikuyi , Matsuno, and Toho beads.
I have been making beaded jewelry for a year and a half and am driving myself to advance the craft beyond where it's ever been. New thread technologies are opening up the doors of possibilities, and I will do my best to stay at the front of the pack. Stay tuned.
I make nothing. Whatever power is in charge makes all of our art. We are mere conduits, by choice or otherwise.
